At Ponder, we take privacy very seriously. Building trust is essential in mental health support and we know that vulnerable conversations happen on our platform. People trust us with their most intimate thoughts, and we have a responsibility to keep them safe and secure.
We want to create a place where you can talk about anything, from everyday struggles to long-lasting relationships, without feeling like it might be used against you now or in the future. So here is our commitment of privacy to you.
Pillars of Privacy
- All conversational data is securely encrypted in transit to our servers and when stored in our database
- Our model providers don’t store or have access to your conversations
- No identifying data is sent to third-party providers (usage tracking, performance monitoring, etc.)
- If you delete your account, all information about you is scrubbed from our database
- If you consent to model improvement, we store an anonymized copy of your data. (Example: If you are “Jack” talking about your friend “Jill,” we see “[User] talked to [Friend] about their problem.”) We do not collect any personal information attached to these conversations, and we only use the data for model training and improvements.
- We’re firmly committed to never selling your data.
